Published on

The appeals window, for the 2021 Fishing Rights Allocation Process, opens today.

This allows small-scale fishermen, fisheries communities, and other stakeholders, who are not satisfied with the 2021 Fishing Rights Allocation Process, to lodge their appeals to the Department of Fisheries.

Fisheries minister, Barbara Creecy says the lodging of the appeals process will close on 29 April, where-after no further appeals will be considered.

Creecy says grant letters were issued last week.

She adds that candidates can submit and access their appeals via the FRAP website or residents may also visit the Departments’ regional offices for assistance.
