Another traffic fine roadshow set for Capetonian motorists

Published on

The City of Cape Town will be hosting yet another traffic fine roadshow. The roadshow, which will be held from the 25th to the 28th of June, will allow motorists to pay fines, negotiate reductions and clear outstanding warrants all under one roof.

This will be the third roadshow in the City, since December 2023.

The Traffic Service, assisted by staff from the municipal courts, will offer their services at the Cape Town Civic Centre. This will serve as a central location for motorists to finalise their affairs irrespective of where those offences were committed.

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says the previous roadshows, which were held in December and March, saw nearly 3,500 people assisted and more than 6,000 fines finalised.

“We’ve come to realise that the roadshows are incredibly popular, and that is why we have increased the frequency where logistics have allowed.”

Smith has however asked motorists who want to participate in the roadshow to exercise patience, as there will be a daily cut-off in the queue to help manage the process.
