An elderly man was taken to hospital following a house robbery at a self-catering cottage in Wolseley. Police say the incident occurred on Sunday night after 11 pm.

Police say the 75-year-old and his 66-year-old wife were asleep when they were awakened by a loud noise. They were then confronted by four unidentified males wearing balaclavas. The suspects allegedly assaulted the husband and fled with stolen items from the home.  The woman was not injured.

A house robbery case under investigation

 

Captain F.C Van Wyk says the incident occurred on Sunday night after 11 pm.   He says Wolseley police registered a house robbery case for investigation. Police have also called on people with information to contact them.
