The holidays are over and we’re getting ready for that last stretch before the end of the year. Maybe you spent the last weekend outside the city in a guesthouse or hotel. It’s not uncommon for us to forget some personal belongings. Hairbrushes, toiletries, cellphone charges, and a single sock or shoe are among the most common left behind items in hotel rooms.

Undies, single socks, books, and cellphone chargers are some of the most common items left behind by guests in hotel rooms

The embarrassingly innocent lacy lingerie in the bed

Underwear is also on the list and one listener told the Ryan O’Connor Breakfast how a piece of racy underwear ended up in her hotel room bed for a very innocent reason.

A caller phoned in to get his ‘companion’ back

We were shocked when an Airbnb owner told us about a certain type of doll she found in the shower after the guests left. But we would NEVER have expected the culprit to call in and ask for it back.

“First of all – she has a name. Her name is Heather.

Secondly – she’s not a doll. She’s a synthetic intimacy companion.”

Moral of the story – always double check the shower before you leave or you might leave feeling a bit deflated.
