Jennifer Aniston’s “challenging” fertility journey
Aniston, who does not have children, shared about her “challenging” fertility journey for the first time last year, during a 2022 interview with Allure magazine. She said she spent a long time “trying” to fall pregnant.
During the interview, she revealed she tried to have a child many years ago. “It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road”, she said. Aniston explains that she underwent numerous rounds of in vitro fertilization, turned to natural medicines and “threw everything” at solving her infertility.
She says still, it did not work. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed”, she explains.
While Aniston feels like the time for children has passed, she says she has not regrets. “I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore,” she shares.

A successful woman without kids
During the interview she slams the rumours that her marriages to actors Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux ended because she wouldn’t have children.
Aniston says despite not conceiving over the years, she is happy how her life has unfolded. She shares that she is not able to talk about this aspect of her life on her own terms.
“I’ve spent so many years protecting my story about IVF. I’m so protective of these parts because I feel like there’s so little that I get to keep to myself,” she said.
Aniston says false narratives push her to tell her truth with confidence. “I feel like I’m coming out of hibernation. I don’t have anything to hide.”
