Listen: 7 Integrated Wildlife Zones launched to protect Rhinos

The Department of Environment and Forestry says seven Integrated Wildlife Zones, are being introduced across South Africa, to provide further protection to the country’s rhino population.

The Department joined the rest of the World this week, to commemorate World Rhino Day and says this zoning initiative, will see the better management and surveillance of one of Africa’s most-endangered mammals.

Spokesperson at the Department, Albi Modise, says the initiative will also benefit communities who live in and around the country’s national parks…

Modise says the initiative will involve the collaboration of a range of stake-holders…
