Ramaphosa: Increased cooperation between S.A. and Germany

Published on

President Cyril Ramaphosa says he will take full advantage of German chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to the country, to further boost trade- and other relations with Germany.

Merkel is currently on a two day visit to the country. Ramaphosa says Germany is South Africa’s second largest trading partner, a major investor in the economy, a significant tourism market for South Africans and a very valued development partner.

The country currently benefits from the presence of some 600 German companies in South Africa. Ramaphosa says there is a need for a greater presence of these German companies in SA, calling on them to expand their footprint and operations here.
