Current world champions and 5th ranked team in the world, Australia, are the most successful team in Test cricket history, 5th in ODI’s and 4th in T20I’s.

Australia is the most successful World Cup team in the history of the tournament, having won it five times, their first in 1987 and the most recent world cup in 2015, and they were runners up on two occasions.

The team will be led by the sensational captain Aaron Finch who broke the world record for the highest score in T20. The guys from down under boast with two of the top 10 batsman in the world Steve Smith and Steve Warner, bowler Josh Hazlewood and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell (they have struggled for form since they were embroiled in a ball-tampering scandal that rocked the cricketing world last year)

Will The Aussies go to the Royals and retain their Crown? Time will tell as they open their World Cup campaign against minnows Afghanistan at the Bristol County Ground on June 1st.
