Latest City Traffic Fine Roadshow at the Parow Civic Centre

Cape Town motorists will once again be able to settle their outstanding fines and warrants in one place, as the city hosts its latest traffic fine roadshow, this time in Parow.

According to the City of Cape Town’s Safety and Security Directorate, the latest roadshow will be held at the Parow Civic Centre daily between Saturday, 12 September and Saturday, 19 September. This will bring together the City’s Traffic Services, Revenue Department, Municipal Court representatives and other internal departments.

Residents will be able to enquire about traffic fines and warrants, applications for fine reduction and payment and finalisation of fines and warrants. Assistance and guidance will also be given with no-admission-of-guilt fines, depending on the status of the fine and the removal of the Warrant Administration Mark upon payment/finalisation of outstanding warrants.

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says experience has taught the City that these roadshows are incredibly popular. Smith has encouraged those planning to attend to please be patient.

“These roadshows offer a win for all involved. The public can finalise fines and warrants at a single service point, saving them the trouble of multiple visits to different municipal courts. The benefit for the City is that we get to make a dent in the massive backlog of outstanding fines and the associated administration,” added Smith.

The dates for the roadshow are as follows:

– Friday, 11 September 2026: Open to City staff and public members with bulk representations (20 or more fines per public visitor).

– Saturday, 12 September 2026: Open to all members of the public.

– Sunday, 13 September 2026: Open to all members of the public.

– Monday, 14 to Friday, 18 September 2026: Open to all members of the public

– Saturday, 19 September 2026: Open to all members of the public

The event will start at 08:30 on all days, but the end time will reportedly be determined by roadshow coordinators, based on demand and their ability to assist everyone in the queue. Smith says people who are still in the queue at cut-off time will receive tickets to be seen first the following day.

“All you need when joining the queue is your ID. If you are making representations on behalf of another person, you will also need an affidavit from them, confirming this, and a copy of their ID,”
