Police spokesperson Thembakazi Mpendukana says the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

“According to reports, unknown gunmen fired shots at the three victims at around 19:00. Two victims succumbed to their injuries and were declared deceased at the crime scene. Meanwhile, a 39-year-old male victim who was with them at the time of the incident was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care.”
