The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Western Cape has condemned a fatal shooting in Manenberg, highlighting the ongoing threat of gang-related violence in the area.
On Thursday, three men were shot and killed, while a 35-year-old sustained gunshot injuries during a drive-by shooting on Renoster Road, Manenberg.
Police spokesperson Andre Traut confirmed that the four men were targeted by unknown gunmen.
“Detectives from the Anti-Gang Unit have launched an investigation and are following all leads to apprehend those responsible. Authorities believe the shooting is linked to ongoing gang conflicts in the area.”
The public is urged to assist the police with any information that could help the investigation. All tip-offs will be treated confidentially.
