There have been two deadly mass shooting incidents in Cape Town over the past two days. In the attacks, 8 people were targeted. In the shooting early this morning in Eureka Estate, a 17-year-old man was fatally shot, and three others, including a 14-year-old, were wounded. It’s alleged that the victims were sitting in a Wendy House in Fabriek Street when 4 unidentified men jumped over the fence from the neighbours.

They approached the Wendy house and fired multiple shots at the victims inside. Police believe that this shooting incident in Ravensmead is gang-related. No one has been arrested yet, and people with information are requested to contact the Police.

Grassy Park mass shooting

At the same time, Grassy Park police officers attended to a similar incident early yesterday (Saturday) morning at Ottery Flats. Four people were shot in that shooting, of which two died and 2 were wounded. Officers say when they arrived at the scene, the victims were already being taken to hospitals for treatment by civilians.

Call for information

Captain FC van Wyk says one of the wounded people in the Ottery shooting is a woman. The motive for that attack will form part of the police probe. No one has been arrested yet.
