Today is International Nurses Day with the theme being “Our Nurses. Our Future”. One of our callers who is a nurse phoned in to tell us about her journey and showed just how much of a calling the profession is.

A nurse helped give her 20 more years in life

Don phoned in to talk about his late daughter Ashlee. He explained that they would never have been able to spend the time they did have if it wasn’t for the nursing staff at Red Cross Children’s Hospital.

Every year on Ashlee’s birthday, Don and his wife collect teddy bears and distribute them to children in hospital. We thank Don and his family for courage to share this with us.
