A Springbok platter for the ages!
A Rugby watch-party is only as good as the snacks. It’s a straight-up fact. and this past weekend Stephani van Niekerk, her husband Johann and friend Ernst Wesson (pictured below) let the creative juices flow ahead of the Springboks’ second test against Wales in Bloemfontein.
First and foremost – you cannot have a rugby platter without featuring wings. The spiciness should match the style of rugby on screen – HOT!
Here is, Faf de Vlerk!
Like de Vlerk, no platter is complete without a worsie and a sousie. That’s where SA Rugby, director of Rugby, Rassie Erasmus and theman with the nickname, sous, Franco Mostert make their appearance.
Wrapping up the meat section is two fundamental parts of not only the Springbok back-line but also your platter – Hamdre Pollard and Lukhanyo Ham.
What is a party without pizza? So, why not have Pizza-Steph du Toit make an appearance?
For a extra dose of cheesiness and breaded delight, you’d want to have these two in your team. Cheeslin Kolbe and Brood de Jager.
In all matches between the Springboks and Wales, the stalemate is all but stale. It always gets exciting and, of course, you’re going to need a Makazole Maspringmielie.
Last but not least, something sweet to snack on. Something on both sides of the health spectrum for those picky eaters. A Marvin Oreo and a Ruan Naartjie
This weekend, the series will come to an exciting end, and we here at Smile 90.4FM believe you might need a couple extra snacks to help you get through the match. So, might we suggest;
Evan Roosterkoek
Drywian Willemse
Franse roosterbrood Malherbe
