The City wants to make it easier for people to set up their own food-trucks, mobile businesses

Published on

Capetonians have until 4 August to comment on the City’s draft Mobile Business Policy, which aims to make it easier for entrepreneurs to set up shop from their cars and trailers.

The draft policy includes measures offering food trucks, among others, greater recognition and an easier route to licence applications.

The Mayoral Committee member for Economic Growth James Vos says the City wants more people to participate in the economy, which means it has to become easier to set up a business.

Interested parties can visit the City’s website for more information on the policy and to comment.
