3 suspects aged between 30 and 40 have been apprehended for the murder and hijacking of an off-duty police constable in Delft. The 31-year-old officer, stationed in Gugulethu, over the weekend, was gunned down in the early hours of the morning in Delius Street, Delft South. He was then robbed of his vehicle, a VW Touran. SAPS Spokesperson Andrè Traut says the suspects will appear in the Blue Downs court, once they have been charged. Traut adds that DPCI detectives have been assigned to probe the circumstances surrounding the incident.
