The Western Cape community safety and Police Oversight department has confirmed that 2 of the 4 officials suspended for their involvement in sexual misconduct during former MEC Albert Fritz’s term of office have been dismissed – with immediate effect.

News24 reports that the former head of the ministry, David Abrahams, and support officer Michael Kwaaiman have been fired relating to an internal probe on sexual misconduct. It’s believed the investigation into the conduct of the other 2 officials who were also suspended earlier this year, is continuing.
