This means that joggers, dog walkers and cyclists can ditch their face coverings. President Cyril Ramaphosa announced last night that Level 1 restrictions are eased from today, Mask wearing is only mandatory indoors, including in malls and on taxis. There’s also good news for those who have longed to attend a sporting event or concert in a stadium setting. Both indoor and outdoor venues can fill up to 50% of their capacity, with no upper limit, provided the criteria for entry is met – either proof of vaccination or a negative covid test not older than 72 hours.
