Banking group, ABSA says it expects the next wave of the Covid-19 pandemic to hit the country by as early as next month.

ABSA Interim CEO, Jason Quinn today said they anticipate seeing another increase in Covid-19 infections by late April this year.

Quinn said they expect the increase in infections to continue, but said social-distancing restrictions in each wave will likely become less prohibitive.

The group says it says it expects the next wave could also be less severe than the third wave, which hit SA life insurers hard.
