The Department of International Relations says Poland is accepting South Africans, fleeing from Ukraine.
According to the Department there are about 250 South Africans, who are known to be in Ukraine.
Spokesperson Clayson Monyela says they are also working closely with the Nigerian embassy to assist other Africans stuck in Ukraine.
The South African Embassy in Kyiv is still operational and helping South Africans who want to leave.
