Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa says changes in the top leadership of security agencies in the country can be expected soon.

He was answering questions in this regard yesterday, shortly after he replied to the two-day debate on his State of the Nation address.
At the same time, the President has defended his decision to create a team in his office to look at cutting red tape for business. Opposition parties and critics questioned why he has bypassed the Ministry of Small Business Development when he created this new team. In response to the debate on the State of the Nation speech, Ramaphosa explained why the government needs to cut red tape.
Meanwhile, ANC MPs have circled the wagons around President Ramaphosa as the Standing Committee on Public Accounts investigates his comment that public funds have been used in the party’s political campaigns. Ironically, ANC MPs used the looming release of the third part of the Zondo Commission’s report, as an excuse not to call Ramaphosa.

Also, COPE wants the president to fire both Police Minister Bheki Cele and national police commissioner General Khehla Sitole for engaging in bitter, public spats. The political party says the public disagreements of the two top officials are killing the morale of police officers.
