The City’s Directorate of Energy says an additional R28-million has been allocated to further improve electricity delivery to Mother City residents.

The allocation forms part of the 2021/2022 budget and includes a R12-million set aside for the City’s meter-replacement programme.

Mayco member, Beverley van Reenen says R5-million had been budgeted to upgrade and maintain high voltage sub-stations.
