Sweden today said it will lift all Covid-19 restriction measures next week, despite a record-breaking number of new infections being recorded.

The country says it is relying on booster doses of Covid-19 vaccines and the high rate of people who have previously contracted Covid-19 to keep hospitalizations under control.

Omicron is currently the dominant variant of Covid-19 in Sweden.
