British Government moves forward roll-out of booster doses of Covid-19 vaccines by one month

Published on

The British Government has moved forward the date, of the roll-out booster doses of Covid-19 vaccines, by one month.

This, to try and curb a further spread of new infections.

British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson said the hastened roll-out comes in response to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant in the UK.

Johnson says health authorities will now temporarily suspend on other non-critical health services, to assist as many people as possible get their booster-shots before the New Year.

Residents of the UK were able to access a booster dose of a Covid-19 vaccine as of Monday, 13 December 2021.

Johnson, last night asked that all adults, who are eligible for the follow-up dose get their injection as soon as possible.

He says it’s now, in his opinion, clear that two doses of vaccine are simply not enough to provide the level of protection needed.
