The first delay was due to approval from ethics committees and the second one, was caused by loadshedding. The Western Cape Health MEC will this morning visit a hospital on the Cape Flats, where health care workers will receive the second jab.
Meanwhile, the Western Cape government is pushing for people to get inoculated before the fourth wave of covid-19. The current prediction is that it could hit at the end of December or the beginning of January.
