Mitchell’s Plain Hospital of Hope closes its doors

Published on

The Mitchell’s Plain Hospital of Hope officially closed its doors last week.

According to the Western Cape Department of Health, the facility has seen a significant reduction in Covid-related admissions, as the third wave started tapering off.

Head of Health, Dr. Keith Cloete says there is sufficient capacity elsewhere, to accommodate new hospital-admissions.

He says admissions at other Covid-19 facilities have also started decreasing.
