The Minister for International Relations and Co-operation, Naledi Pandor says efforts have been boosted to remove South Africa from the UK covid-19 red list.

Citizens from countries on the list, are not allowed to travel to the UK.

Pandor says a steady decrease in Covid-19 infections and more people getting vaccinated on a daily basis are some of the reasons why SA should be removed from this list.

She says officials are in talks with the UK government to have SA removed from the list.
