South Africa has recorded 7 086 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 infections and 431 deaths, taking the death toll to 82 261.

Gauteng is leading with over 905 000 confirmed cases, followed by the Western Cape with more than 485 000 and then KwaZulu-Natal with 6 000 fewer cases than this province. So far, more than 12.5-million vaccinations have been administered, with almost 280 000, in the last 24 hours.
