Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal may soon start experiencing fuel-shortages.

These shortages may also, in the near future, affect other provinces.

Several fuel companies have confirmed that the production, transportation and storage of fuel is at riks.

Companies such as Natref, Sasol, Shell and Total have already confirmed to Network 24 that operations at some of their facilities in Durban, Alberton and Witbank have been temporarily suspended.

Several filling stations were also temporarily closed in Soweto this morning.
