Tiger Brands says it’s not going to bake bread in KwaZulu-Natal for now, after its bakeries there were temporarily closed due to the protests.

The company says the distribution of its Albany breads in the province is also in jeopardy.

All its bakeries are now temporarily closed while the situation is monitored.

People in Gauteng have also shared photos on social media of shops, in especially Johannesburg, which have run out of bread.
