Colder weather could bring a rise in Covid-19 infections

Published on

With the cold weather expected to continue until at least this weekend, residents are urged to be extra vigilant, to avoid a further increase in covid-19 infections.

This, according to Premier Alan Winde, who says people will now spend a lot more time indoors, in mostly poorly ventilated areas, to escape the colder temperatures and rain.

Winde says the province has seen an increase in Covid-infections – over the past three weeks – with more that 12-thousand residents that now have active forms of the virus.
