Premier Alan Winde says the Western Cape wants to start vaccinating its teachers as soon as possible.
Winde says the province hopes to receive a large consignment of Covid-19 vaccines, which will be administered to the province’s educators.
He says it is very important that teachers, who interact with children from various communities on a daily basis, get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect them from severe disease.
Winde says teachers will, mostly, be vaccinated with the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
