Premier Alan Winde has welcomed the announcement by the Western Cape health-department that a further 10 vaccination sites have been activated across the province this week.
Winde says a total of eight sites were initially launched on Monday, with two sites that were dedicated to vaccinating healthcare workers.
The six other sites were used to vaccinate both health-care workers and those 60 years and older.
Winde says this brings the number of sites, that cater for pensioners, to 16.
