The Western Cape Department of Health says it will now make the annual flu-vaccination available to high-risk groups.

Published on

As the province is preparing for the annual flu and winter season, the Department says it hopes to disperse up to 120-thousand doses of the annual flu-vaccine to healthcare workers, people older than 65 years, those with underlying heart and lungs-problems, those with HIV, and pregnant women.

The flu vaccines will be distributed to primary health-care facilities such as clinics and day hospitals, while some doses would also be allocated to old-age homes.
