President Cyril Ramaphosa says the country has finalised the contracts for sufficient Covid-19 vaccine doses, to vaccinate 41.5-million South Africans.

Speaking in Parliament yesterday, he said the country is due to receive 3 million Johnson & Johnson vaccines, 4,5 million Pfizer vaccines, and an additional 1,5 million Pfizer vaccines through the Covax facility, through the course of the second quarter. He says systems are being put in place to start the vaccination campaign in earnest. So far, 3 337 vaccination sites have been registered.
