The department of health says 744 new cases of Covid-19, have been recorded in the country in the latest 24-hour monitoring period. At the same time, 21 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported. Of the 21 deaths, 4 people were from the Western Cape. The death toll since the start of the pandemic, more than a year ago, stands on 53 757 and on more than 3 million in the world.
