COSATU in the Western Cape says its meeting with the Golden Arrow Bus Service this week was very positive and says the bus company promised that passengers and drivers would soon be safer on its buses.

Cosatu provincial secretary, Malvern de Bruyn says the Union met with GABS-management yesterday and adds that the bus company confirmed that it has ordered cameras, panic buttons and other security devices, which will be installed in buses, to boost the safety of commuters.

De Bruyn says the continuous muggings and robberies of passengers and drivers on GABS-buses must come to an end.
