Although South Africa had to suspend the use of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine, this led to the country possibly being able to vaccinate its people against the virus much faster, by using the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
This is according to Aspen Pharma-Care CEO and founder Stephen Saad who says the simplicity of the J&J vaccine (which requires only one injection dose) can help government vaccinate millions of South Africans in a shorter period of time.
Saad spoke to eNCA and says the use of the J&J vaccine will help the country “catch up” with other countries much faster.
