Cape Town traffic authorities say they have impounded more than 600 vehicles, over the past three weeks, for contraventions of the road-traffic rules. The City says the vehicles are impounded when operators do not have a valid operating license or are operating in contravention of their permit conditions. In the last week alone, traffic services impounded 206 vehicles. Last week, 256 vehicles were impounded and during the second week of March, 186 vehicles were impounded.
