Government says its goal is to vaccinate at least 1.5-million healthcare workers, by the end of phase one of the country’s mass-vaccination campaign.

This, according to acting-Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni who says that the first phase of the campaign is set to end on 17 May this year.

She says although the country’s doses of covid-19 vaccines are arriving in small batches, enough vaccines have been secured to reach this vaccination-target.

She says front-line workers and vulnerable groups will be vaccinated under phase 2 of the vaccination campaign.
