South African Breweries says the national ban on liquor-sales, has caused storage at its nine facilities across the country to reach maximum capacity. The company says it will now focus on reducing production, which has prompted it to suspend the contracts of 550 temporary contract workers. S.A.B. recently announced cutting staff-salaries by 10% while it also announced the cancellation of R 5-billion in capital investment for the year.
