The South African Medical Association, representing doc-tors countrywide, has expressed its concern that decision-making and service delivery may be hampered due to the many ministers, who have been appointed to serve on the interministerial committee for the country’s Covid-19 vaccine program. President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Tuesday that deputy president David Mabuza will chair this committee. They will meet weekly to receive reports on the implementation of the vaccine program and will also be able to intervene if problems arise.
