9-year-old Cape Town girl was shot in Scottsdene

Cape Town police say a 9-year-old girl was shot in the neck in a suspected gang-related shooting in Scottsdene on Friday.

A 30-year old woman was wounded and a 20-year old man was killed in the same shooting incident. .

Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said both injured victims were taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

Kraaifontein police are now investigating the shooting.
