This is what I love about the world of tech, the fact that there is ALWAYS a tech buzz, day in day out, whether that particular tech buzz falls within your circle or not.
But here are 2 of the hottest topics currently causing quite a stir, and might even leave you feeling a little nostalgic.

Theunis Janse van Rensburg, my weekly tech news check-in, from bandwidthblog.co.za, always has his finger on the pulse of the hottest tech buzz. And he brought me something that took me into the past, put a smile on my dial and then brought me back to the future! See what I did there.
The Delorean is making a return
Yes, the famous DMC Delorean, the one and only Back to the Future vehicle that we all fell in love with, gull-wing doors and all, is about to be reborn as a sleek electric vehicle!
According to DMC this ‘concept’ Delorean will be revealed in August this year at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and it’s been a rather long wait as the company first indicated that we will se a ‘reborn’ Delorean in 2016, but nothing came of it, until now! At this stage there is not much to go on, but for some hardcore Back To The Future fans this is quite exciting.
My only question is, will it still have the same essence? I guess we gotta get up to 88Mph to have a peek into the future.
The next step for WhatsApp Voice Notes
Then on to some WhatsApp news! And this is something that most of use everyday, and some maybe love too much! The WhatsApp voice note!
Yes indeed, how many conversations have you heard around WhatsApp voice notes? The fact that people like to have full on conversations on voice notes, which come as a huge annoyance to some as they simply do not have the time, or patience, to listen to a 5 minute monologue.
For others its a very handy feature, to keep in touch with family far away, dealing with time differences and the ease of then sending a daily recap to mom and dad of everything that you got up to, how the boss yelled at you and how well Johnny did at school.
WhatsApp knows how important the voice note (VN) feature is, and with that in mind they listened to consumers and brought out the ‘speed up’ feature not too long ago. Now, if you get a 5 minuter, you can speed it up and be done in two and a half minutes.
But here is the BIG NEWS, they are further enhancing their voice note feature will some new and exciting tweaks.
For one, they will implement a feature where should you pause whilst listening to a voice note to take a call or to go read an email, you can come back to your VN and pick up where you left off, which I think is pretty handy. Saves you having to re-listen to the whole thing, especially if it is a whopper.

Another practical feature is that while you recording a VN, you can pause, think about the next thing you want to say and then continue to record.
And lastly, I think a new addition to VN’s that people will really love, is that while you are listening to a message, you can go out of the app, and it will continue playing in the background, bringing a sort of podcast feel to the table, very cool if you want to continue perhaps, scrolling around on social media, or to continue doing whatever else you might want to on your phone.
WhatsApp will be rolling out these updates in the very near future so keep an eye out!
