Hulk Hogan, one of the most recognisable figures in wrestling history, has died aged 71. The WWE confirmed his death.
“WWE is saddened to learn legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.”
According to reports, emergency services were called to his home in Florida on Wednesday following reports of a cardiac arrest. He was later pronounced dead in the hospital.
Born Terry Bollea, Hogan rose to international fame in the 1980s and 1990s, becoming the face of professional wrestling. Known for his trademark blonde moustache, colourful headbands, and red-and-yellow outfits, the WWE said he was a central figure in WWE’s expansion worldwide. He’s often described as the most iconic wrestler in WWE’s five-decade history.

Hogan’s fanbase, affectionately called “Hulkamaniacs”, followed his every move as he continued to wrestle well into his 50s.
In 2018, Hogan was reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame after a previous suspension linked to a racist remark. Despite controversy, his legacy remains a cornerstone of professional wrestling.
