World Teachers’ Day celebrated today

World Teachers’ Day is celebrated across the planet today.

The Western Cape Education Department says it will use the whole month of October  to celebrate the province’s teachers.

Education MEC, Debbie Schäfer says teachers need to be acknowledged for the important role they play in the development and growth of any society.
