The Western Cape Health Department has confirmed that no link has been found between the Covid-19 vaccine and deaths among residents.

32 deaths were recently investigated in people who have just received vaccinations.

The deaths were due to another cause, such as illness or injury.

Meanwhile, more than 2.5 million vaccine doses have been administered in the province so far.

The department says the known and potential benefits of vaccination against Covid-19 far outweigh the potential risks.
