Western Cape drivers urged to renew their licences before 31 March deadline

Published on

The Western Cape Department of Transport has urged the province’s motorists to renew their licences before the 31 March deadline.

To date, only 78% of motorists already renewed drivers’ licences as the deadline looms.

MEC Daylin Mitchell urges residents to use the remaining two weeks to renew their driving licences before the end of the month to avoid long queues and increasingly difficult time pressures.

Of the 327295 drivers’ licences from the Western Cape that should have been renewed from August 2021, 255551 have been renewed leaving 71744 to be renewed.

This means 78.1% of motorists have renewed their licences for the period under review.
