The Western Cape wants to vaccinate a minimum of 5-million residents, by the end of 2021.

Head of Health, Dr. Keith Cloete says reaching this target would help strengthen the province’s ability to better withstand a fourth wave.

A fourth wave is expected in December.

He says the province currently vaccinates an average of 200-thousand residents per week.
