Prince William touched down in Cape Town on Monday and he’s been doing the rounds, crisscrossing the peninsula, engaging with climate leaders ahead of the Earthshot Prize ceremony and even getting in a little rugby practice.

The Earthshot Prize is an initiative that shines a light on the impact of climate change, environmental degradation and pollution, as well as the creative solutions people and communities across the globe generate.
The Prince joined students from Ocean View, Masiphumelele, and Langa Townships yesterday for rugby coaching and digital skills classes, with the support of The Atlas Charity.

Today, President Cyril Ramaphosa received a courtesy call from the Prince at his official residence in Cape Town, Genadendal.
According to the Presidency, Ramaphosa and Prince William will discuss several key issues of mutual interest.
“The visit is indicative of the strong ties the United Kingdom, including the Royal Family, share with South Africa, and also another step towards the deepening of these historic ties.”
A jovial President Ramaphosa interacted with members of the press, as the pair had to pose and shake hands repeatedly for the cameras before their meeting:
